Building Rectangular Pub Table
Outdoor furniture has become an object of high demand, especially during the hot weather. Families and friends enjoy outdoor weather and constantly need more seating and table space. Building a nice rectangular pub table is a cheap task that will benefit you and your outdoor entertainment group for many years to come. A wooden 36-inch 48-inch rectangular table is the perfect size for seating as well as keeping food or drinks. Several of these tables can easily be built if more table space is needed.
Measure in 6-inches from each end of the 36-inch 2-by-4s. Row a 4-times-4 in each place. Hammers in four 5-inch nails through the 2-by-4s into the top of the 4-by-4s. Measure in 6-inches from each end of the six 2-to-6s and mark these places with a pencil. Place all six boards next to each other horizontally so the boards form a rectangular table surface measuring 36 inches by 48 inches with the measurement marks upward. Cover the nailed side of 2-by-4s with a layer of wood adhesive. Line the two 2-by-4s vertically against the lines of 2-by-6s by the six inch marks.
Turn the structure over to standing position so that the 4-by-4s act as legs for the table. Hammer two 3-inch nail evenly distributed in each 2-of-6 at 2-of-4 location. Paint the polyurethane table with the large brush. Allow the polyurethane to dry thoroughly before using the table. Apply other layers if necessary. Rectangular pub table allow you to have storage space under a table and make an otherwise boring table look more elegant. They are good for parties, conventions or creating space in a small home or apartment. Is making a lovely table skirt easy too, and requires minimal sewing knowledge.
Measure the height and perimeter of your table. Multiply the perimeter of your table by 1 1/2. This will be the amount of fabric you will need to buy. It will create normal sized ruffs but if you want a more dramatic rupture multiply the circumference of 2. Make sure you have enough Velcro straps to keep the fabric firmly at the outer edge of your table. Cut the fabric to about 2 inches more than the height of your table. Fold over 1/2 inch on both long sides of the fabric, and press down. Fold another 1/2 inch on the long sides, press, pin and sew the edges down to create a hem on the top and bottom of the skirt. Your skirt is now ready to assemble. Edge the card ends in this way as well.
